A special school in Keighley has “highly effective” teachers and many outstanding features, according to schools’ watchdog Ofsted.
Beechcliffe School, on Green Head Road, was praised as outstanding for pupils behaviour and safety, and the way students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is catered for. Overall the school was judged good with outstanding features in the report.
An inspector said: “Achievement has improved since the last inspection. Students’ progress has accelerated and they now make good and sometimes outstanding progress, particularly in developing their personal, social and life skills.”
Headteacher Trish Pearson said: “We are delighted with this very good report which reflects how we see our school and all the hard work pupils, staff, governors and parents have undertaken.”
