A candlelit vigil was held in Bradford tonight in memory of terror victim Drummer Lee Rigby.
The event, held in front of City Hall, was also dedicated to raising money for the murdered soldier’s two-year-old son Jack.
Organiser Caroline Poole said: “This is not about religion, race, creed or colour. It is about a two-year-old boy and helping to give him a good start in life.”
About 50 people gathered in Centenary Square at 8pm to pay their respects, light a candle, drop money into collection boxes and take part in a silent prayer. Among them were current and former soldiers, as well as Zulfiqar Karim, secretary general for the Bradford Council for Mosques.
Mr Karim said: “I am here to show that we are grieving as well.
“This attack did not just affect one particular community or religion. As humans it affects us all, regardless of race or religion.”
