The lineup for this summer’s Bingley Music Live festival continues to fill up, with six more names announced today.
Organisers have confirmed another set of hotly tipped bands and singers.
Theme Park, The Dunwells, The Dirty Rivers, KatMen, Dave McPherson and China Rats will join acts like Primal Scream, Human League and Chic with Nile Rogers at the Myrtle Park festival, held between August 30 and September 1.
Theme Park have been hailed as successors to the funk-rock mantle previously held by Vampire Weekend and Talking Heads.
The Dunwells have been tipped for greatness since forming in 2009. A vintage folk rock band from Leeds, they were named HMV’s Next Big Thing of 2012. Their sound has been compared to Crosby, Stills and Nash, and Mumford & Sons.
The Dirty Rivers mine classic rock influences and recall Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Bringing a bit of rockabilly are KatMen, formed in 2007 by former Stray Cats drummer Slim Jim Phantom.
Dave McPherson is a singer-songwriter and Leeds quartet China Rats have been inspired by a love of punk, 50’s pop and classic British guitar bands.
Tickets are available for £45 from bingleymusiclive.com/tickets or by calling 0871 220 0260. Children’s tickets are available at £30 for three-to 12-year-olds.
