A group set up to make a Bradford Cemetery more welcoming holds its first meeting next week.
The Friends of Scholemoor Cemetery was set up in January after increasing incidents of flytipping and litter in the cemetery.
The group hopes to work with Bradford Council and the Council For Mosques to “create a safe and pleasant place for people to visit and pay respect to loved one”.
It holds its first meeting on Wednesday at 6pm at Lidget Green Primary School. Council staff, members of the Council of Mosques and officers from bereavement services will attend to answer questions and listen to suggestions.
