A Bradford mother has pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter of her four-year-old son and also denied preventing the burial of his body when she appeared in court today.
Amanda Hutton, 42, was in the dock at Bradford Crown Court with her son, Tariq Khan, 24, who also denied preventing the burial of a body.
They were arrested in connection with the discovery of the decomposed body of Hamza Khan at a house in Heaton in September 2011.
Hutton also denied a number of other charges including one of benefit fraud.
Hutton, of Farcliffe Road, Bradford, and Khan, of Bradford Road, Bradford, are due to go on trial on September 16.
They were given conditional bail by the Recorder of Bradford, Judge Roger Thomas QC, and told to appear again at Bradford Crown Court on July 25 for a further case management hearing.
