The founder of a charity that every year helps thousands of released prisoners re-adjust to society, including many in the Bradford area, has stood down after 30 years as chief executive.
Steve Woodford set up Foundation as a small housing support charity for former offenders, and it now operates across 19 local authorities, including Bradford.
Mr Woodford said: “Although hugely proud of the size and impact of the charity over the years, it’s growth is to an extent an indictment of the fact that it is now even more difficult for many of the young people, ex-offenders that we work with to get access to decent, affordable homes than it was back in the 80s.”
