A Skipton village show has been saved after an SOS brought forward new volunteers.
More than 30 people attended a crisis meeting held by the Bradley Family Show Day committee.
“The response was excellent and we are very relieved,” said committee member Andrew Symonds.
“We were down to five on the organising committee, which just wasn’t viable.
This year’s show – on September 1 – will include a fancy-dress parade, fell running, brass band, games, stalls and produce tents.
Mr Symonds said more volunteers were still welcome to come forward.
He can be contacted on asymonds2013@gmail.com or 07801 937056.
The next committee meeting is on June 24 in the village hall at 7.30pm.
