Young designers took inspiration from museum treasures to create vintage-style fashions.
Now an exhibition brings together the original garments and accessories with the best of the young designers’ creations.
Masquerade masks, vintage coats and a selection of hatpins are just some of the items which will be on show.
And 11 waistcoats designed by Bradford’s Young Ambassadors, a team of art fans aged 16 to 25 from across the district, will be displayed.
The waistcoats were made from 100 metres of new worsted cloth woven at Bradford Industrial Museum.
The exhibition, at Cartwright Hall Art Gallery in Lister Park and called Golden Threads Accessorised, also features accessories dating back to 1895.
Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe, Bradford Council’s executive member for culture, said: “It is wonderful to be able to showcase the work of Bradford’s Young Ambassadors with this exhibition.”
The exhibition will be on at Cartwright Hall until September 15.
