A Bradford councillor has declared the 640/641 Red Line to be the best bus service in Bradford.
Councillor Geoff Reid’s comment comes after the Thorpe Edge Community Survey revealed that the overwhelming majority of residents surveyed were happy living on the estate with among the reasons given that “we have a good bus service”.
Coun Reid (Lib Dem, Eccleshill), a member of the West Yorkshire Integrated Transport Authority, who lives on the Red Line route and uses it regularly, said buses on the route were hardly ever stuck in traffic in the rush hour on journeys into the city centre and it offered a Sunday daytime service of four buses an hour on the Thorpe Edge loop.
