Walkers and sightseers are being asked to help bird of prey conservationists monitor how red kites are faring this breeding season.
The Yorkshire Red Kites re-introduction and conservation project is seeking help from the public to help it monitor the progress of Yorkshire’s kite population.
The project reintroduced the birds of prey to the region after an absence of more than 150 years. Young kites were released on the Harewood Estate for several years, starting in 1999, and many have since become established in the countryside along Wharfedale and the Washburn valley.
