Ilkley Flower Show will take place on Saturday, August 23, in The Clarke Foley Centre, on Cunliffe Road.
This year is the show’s diamond jubilee and organisers are hoping to mark the occasion with an especially strong turn-out.
They expect regular competitors to appear in strength, but there is always a big welcome for new entrants.
There is something to challenge every gardener and flower enthusiast, with six classes in floral art, 29 for individual flower exhibits and a further 26 for fruit and vegetables.
The Homecraft section gives competitors a chance to show their skills in baking, jam and chutney-making, photography and painting.
For younger generations there is a variety of competitions for five age groups between four and 16, with some challenging assignments for schools.
A complete programme of events and entry forms will shortly be available from the Tourist Information Centre.
