Ilkley Art Trail organisers are encouraging further support from businesses as they welcome a new ‘Corporate Friend’ on board.

Swedish bank Handels-banken, which has a branch in Ilkley, is the latest business to take up Corporate Friendship with the event.

The trail, leading art lovers around studios, artists’ homes and exhibition venues, will take place from October 9 to 13.

Handelsbanken manager, Sue Toulson, said she was pleased to support the local and regional arts scene, but also to build relationships within the community.

The organising team is now planning the third year of the trail, with art exhibited at more than 25 venues.Although they have enjoyed two successful years, they say securing financial support is still difficult. Public funding bids have been sent to several bodies, but private funding is required to ensure the trail goes from strength to strength.
