A scheme has started to make Girlington, Bradford, a dementia-friendly community.
The initiative encourages residents and businesses to help make the area an easier place for people with memory problems to live.
An event to get it off the ground was organised at the Girlington Centre involving workers from the Alzheimer’s Society, Bradford Council’s adult and community services, the Bradford. West Area Office, CNet and Bradford Older People’s Alliance.
To get involved or find out more, contact Cathy Henwood on (01274) 586008 or Masood Gondal, a Bradford Council officer, on (01274) 432597.
