The sky was brightened by 210 multi-coloured balloons which were released to mark the 50th anniversary of a Bradford primary school.
St John the Evangelist Primary School in Beacon Road started its week of Golden Jubilee celebrations with a balloon release in the school grounds.
Children and staff sent up a balloon each with a message attached with a hope to receive replies from anyone who may find the balloon.
Head teacher Kath Spillane said: “It was a wonderful sight, they were so colourful.
"It was a lovely moment which the whole school took part in and enjoyed. It’s really nice that we can celebrate the special occasion together.”
The school also held a Bantams-themed penalty shoot-out and had a special visit fromBradford Bulls players.
