A new work club is starting at Burley-in-Wharfedale Library, from Thursday, June 6, between 10am and noon, to support people seeking employment.
It is part of an expansion of a Bradford Council scheme, run in conjunction with Job Centre Plus.
The club gives people the opportunity to learn basic computer skills, update their CV, search and apply for jobs online, and create an email account.
The free drop-in sessions also give job seekers the chance to meet and exchange skills, find opportunities, make contacts, share experiences and receive support to help them gain employment.
Coun Susan Hinchcliffe, Bradford Council’s executive member responsible for Employment and Skills, said: "Having some computer skills is essential in today’s world as many jobs are only open to online applicants.
"Once people have learnt the basics of using a computer they can use the internet to search and apply for jobs and also find information on a huge range of subjects.”
