Children at Ghyll Royd School in Burley-in-Wharfedale are being encouraged to eat a piece of fruit every day, and on fundraising Fruity Friday are allowed to dress up as a piece of fruit too.
Money raised from the day is donated to the World Cancer Research Fund campaign which aims to raise awareness of eating fresh fruit and vegetables every day from a young age, as a preventative measure to help to combat cancer.
This year the children sold fruity Mock-Tails at break time for 50p each, raising £42.
