A Bingley woman motorcyclist has been killed as she overtook a tractor in North Yorkshire.
The tragedy occurred on the B6479, near Horton-In-Ribblesdale, shortly after 1pm yesterday.
The 42-year-old woman, who was riding a black Suzuki, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Today, police made a direct appeal for a vital witness to come forward.
Immediately before the crash two other motorcycles had overtaken the tractor.
The rider of the lead bike, who had not been riding with the other two, did not stop at the scene. The rider was on a black Suzuki and wearing black leathers.
Traffic Constable Ken Riley, of North Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Group, said: “If you were that motorcyclist, I urge you to come forward straight away as I believe that you may have vital information that could help with my investigation into this collision.
“I also need to speak to anyone who saw the collision or saw any of the motorcycle prior to the incident.”
Anyone who can help with this enquiry is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Ken Riley. Alternatively information can be emailed to ken.riley@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
