A 64-year-old Ilkley businessman has completed his 150th 10K race.
Owner of running supplies shop Complete Runner, on Leeds Road, Terry Lonergan celebrated 50 years of competitive running in March and set out to complete another goal – this time of completing 150 10k races.
This was successfully achieved with a visit to Blackpool’s Stanley Park for The Alan Seddon 10k.
Mr Lonergan said: “My first 10K was in Toronto in 1983 where I ran 31.30. This was a time I was never to improve as I concentrated so much on marathons in that period, running 19 marathons in six years.”
