Two Belle Vue Girls' School students joined the BAM Construction team for work experience on the site of the £50m build at Bradford College.
Simrah Khan and Nasimah Khanum Ullah secured the placement to work on the state-of-the-art 23,000 square metre facility which is due to open its doors by September next year.
Charlotte Cooper, Bradford College Education Liaison Team Leader, said: “Belle Vue Girls’ School read about the opportunity in our newsletter and seized the chance for two of its students to learn something very new. Construction is often stereotyped as a male industry but holds opportunities for everyone in a wide range of roles. Work experience is a great way of testing the waters for suitability.”
