A couple thought to have the world’s longest marriage have met the Queen, Prince Charles and Duchess of Cambridge.
Girlington couple Karam and Kartari Chand, who have been married for 87 years, were invited to a garden party at Buckingham Palace.
Son Sat Paul Chand said meeting the Royal family had been a dream come true.
He said: “They shook hands with mum and dad and me and my wife, and they had a good chat. They said it was wonderful to see somebody living to that age. The Queen asked when they came to the country and where they came from in India.
“We said they now lived in Bradford and she said she had been to Bradford a few times. She was there for about seven minutes, talking to us. It was wonderful.”
