Children are being taught how to care for pets properly in a scheme run by a Guiseley vet.
Veterinary nurses from White Cross Vets are visiting schools, groups, churches and Beavers, Cubs and Brownies to raise awareness of good pet care.
White Cross veterinary nurse Hayley Thompson said: “Some children already have a pet in their family and most want one so our sessions teach children about the importance of regular check-ups.”
