This Sunday, Heckmondwike’s Crown of Lights free music enterprise is staging an all-day party, and everyone is welcome to enjoy the 11-hour family friendly show.
Having more bands and acoustic acts than they can fit into their annual Heckyfest in Heckmondwike’s Green Park, the organisers have decided to put a special one-off event to showcase the many varied and talented acts, most of whom have played at one of the previous ten summer festivals while others are having to wait until next year’s festival.
There will be 13 acts altogether and the show will be opened by the sixth-form Heckmondwike Grammar School band String Villains. Twist of Fate, who played in Green Park last summer, will be finishing the show with classic rock covers.
The festival is at the Comrades Club, starting at noon.
