The Upper Room in Tong Street, Bradford, is on the market.
The iconic property, dating back to the 19th century, was previously a school caretaker’s residence for St John’s school.
When the school moved to Dawson Lane, off Tong Street, following the merger with Bierley Church School a decade ago, the property became known as the Upper Room and was used for informal worship.
Owned by a group of trustees, including the vicars of Tong and Holme Wood parish, the property has since become surplus to requirements.
Priced at £160,000, the substantial property includes a two-bedroom flat, ground-floor meeting rooms, a garden and parking.
Jonathan O’Connor, associate at Walker Singleton, Bradford, who are marketing the property, says they have already had interest from several parties looking at a variety of uses.
