A noisy neighbour has been fined after breaching a noise abatement notice issued by Kirklees Council.
Alistair Sharkey, of Windsor Road, Birstall was fined £600 with costs of £1,025 plus a £60 victim surcharge when the case was heard in his absence by Kirklees magistrates.
Council officers in a neighbouring flat could hear Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin and also heard a male voice shouting “turn it right up.”
Magistrates granted an order for the forfeiture of the equipment and imposed an Anti Social Behaviour order.
