The Royal Shakespeare Company has shortlisted a Bradford school for its entry in a national script-writing competition.
Dixons Allerton Academy, in Oaks Lane, Bradford, was chosen as one of eight schools whose works will be performed by the Matilda company actors.
The entries went through a script selection process and the show’s creators Dennis Kelly and Tim Minchin, helped to choose the shortlist of scenes and songs.
The Matilda company will perform the selection in front of the students and their classmates on June 11.
