Phil Parkinson has this afternoon put pen to paper on a three-year deal with City.
Assistant Steve Parkin and head of sports science Nick Allamby have also signed their new contracts for the same length of time.
Joint-chairman Mark Lawn said: “Three years was the minimum we wanted. We're aiming to go back up the divisions and we want Phil to be the man leading us.
“I was confident he would do it and all parties knew it was going to happen. People have just got understand that as negotiations go, it can take a bit of time to get the minutiae together.”
The welcome news comes just four days after City beat Northampton 3-0 at Wembley to earn promotion back to League One after a six-year absence.
Parkinson also steered the Bantams to the Capital One Cup final, making them the first fourth-tier team in history to reach a major cup final at Wembley.
