Bradford Council for Mosques has added its opposition to Government moves to legalise gay marriage. Its president Mohammed Mushtaq said: “As a Muslim organisation, we cannot support the same-sex marriage due to fundamental Islamic values. We ask the Government and the policy makers to acknowledge the sensitivities of different faith communities on the issue”.
