Small to medium enterprises in Kirklees can apply for funding of up to £5,000, for environmental improvements.
The Kirklees Business Environment Grant can help firms save money by buying waste or energy-saving equipment or more efficient machinery.
Leader of Kirklees Council Councillor Mehboob Khan said: “These grants will enable local businesses to save energy and become more efficient and therefore save money. Don’t delay in applying as funding is limited and will be on a first come, first served basis.”
Businesses should contact Jim Porter at jim.porter@ kirklees.gov.uk, or on 01484 221660, to organise an initial audit of their premises to make recommendations of the best measures.
