The route for tomorrow night's Bradford City homecoming parade celebrating the club’s promotion to League One has been announced.
Phil Parkinson’s Wembley winners will leave Valley Parade at 6.30pm, before travelling in a procession of three buses along Manningham Lane, Manor Row, Market Street and ending in City Park.
Tens of thousands of well-wishers are expected to attend the celebration to cheer on their Bantams heroes, who won promotion after cruising to a 3-0 victory over Northampton Town in the League Two play-off final at Wembley on Saturday.
When the convoy arrives at City Park, the Bantams’ boss and his victorious players will be introduced to supporters, who will have the chance to catch a glimpse of the League Two play-off trophy.
Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe, Bradford Council's executive member for leisure, said it was ‘fantastic’ to celebrate an end to the club’s phenomenal season, which also saw it reach the final of the Capital One Cup.
She said: “The atmosphere at the final was one of complete joy and ecstasy and I’m sure it will be the same during the parade.
“It’s great news for the city and the district.”
