Bradford Bulls rugby league star Adrian Purtell is calling on fans to support Heart Research UK by completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in June.
The Bradford Bulls centre is playing again after suffering a heart attack after a game almost a year ago.
Following this he has now become an ambassador for the Yorkshire-based charity to help raise awareness of heart disease and generate funds for the prevention, treatment and cure of the illness.
He is urging more people to sign up for one of Heart Research UK’s biggest fundraisers of the year – the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday, June 15. Visit heartresearch.org. uk or call (0113) 234 7474 for more information. There is no entry fee and no minimum sponsorship.
