A Zulu dance group from Africa are appearing in Bradford with help from a man who was locked up in Zambia for a murder he did not commit five years ago.
Frenchman Jacques Lapergue, who lives in Bierley, was incarcerated in a police cell for more than a week after he found a corpse in an alleyway in 2008.
Now, he is championing a group of seven dancers from Durban in South Africa called Zulu Tradition, which is bringing its energetic and educational show to Kala Sangam Arts Centre, St Peter’s House, Forster Square, Bradford, on Sunday.
The show, which is split into two halves of 40 minutes each, starts at 6.30pm. Tickets are £6.50 for adults, £5 for concessions and £3.50 for children. They are available from Kala Sangam, or from Mr Lapergue on 07812 345078.
