Children at Aireview Infants School in Silsden are being enlisted to help tackle dog fouling in the town.
Councillors Adrian Naylor (Ind) and Christopher Atkinson invited pupils to design warning posters aimed at dog walkers.
Coun Atkinson said dog fouling was an issue that needed constant attention and residents had raised the issue with the town council.
He said: “There is a small minority of dog owners who still do not clean up after their dogs.”
Coun Naylor said he was funding six new litter bins for Silsden, which would carry the winning posters.
He added: “Hopefully having the problem of dog fouling explained from a child’s perspective will get the everyone to think about the consequences of not cleaning up after their dog.”
