Families are urged to get on their bike or get wet and wild during the bank holiday weekend.

On Saturday the Saltaire go:cycling event encourages people to get back on their bikes. Activities, from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, include mini-biking and go:ride racing.

From 12.30pm there will be led rides to the Hut cafe in Bowling Park, the canal towpath at Apperley Bridge and the canal towpath opposite Riddlesden Hall to Roberts Park.

There will also be rides from the park along the towpath and an intermediate mountain bike ride. From 6pm to 8pm, there will be a pedal-powered cinema and a barbecue.

Also on Saturday, a family fun day will celebrate Ilkley Lido’s opening.

The Bradford Council-run venue will host a Wet And Wild event including face painting, a climbing wall, and picnic area.

The party runs from 10am until 5pm and entry is £2.

Families in Ilkley can also join a Spring bank holiday art workshop on Tuesday, May 28.

Manor House Museum, in Castle Yard, is marking the final week of Ilkley Art Club’s exhibition with an afternoon of free activities.

Members of Ilkley Art Club will transform the solar gallery into an artist’s studio between 1pm and 4pm. Visitors will be able to delve into the Museum’s dressing up box, build a Roman wall and listen to short talks.
