A rhymetime book challenge has been boosting pre-school learning across the Bradford district.
Around 160 families took part in the event at Bradford Council’s libraries challenging families to learn ten rhymes in four-weeks.
The idea of the challenge was to help pre-school children learn new words and become more confident at speaking and listening.
Every child who completed the challenge got a certificate at a series of special celebration events attended by Bookstart Bear.
Families who missed out can still benefit from the learning technique through weekly rhymetime sessions for at libraries across the district – to find out where, go to bit.ly/14LIBjN It is estimated that up to 4,000 pre-schoolers from across the district will benefit from the scheme.
