Bradford Bulls have applied for a late licence to cover the whole of Odsal Stadium, as it seeks to host more pop concerts.
The stadium could also put on shows by comedians and hypnotists, boxing matches or open a temporary cinema if permission is granted.
OK Bulls Ltd has applied for a licence to sell alcohol and put on entertainment until 2am daily at the venue, in Rooley Lane. It has said live music at outdoor events would stop by 11pm.
But Bradford District Licensing Panel has received 42 objections from residents and ward councillors concerned at the noise the shows could generate.
Environmental Health officers also want to see the plan turned down.
A report said: “No evidence has been offered to show how noise which will arise from the event will be controlled to prevent a public nuisance.”
The plan will be considered by the licensing panel at its meeting on Friday.
