Bradford charity One in a Million was awarded £2,500 at the national Aviva Broker Community Fund awards.
The charity, co-founded by former Bradford City player Wayne Jacobs to improve the lives of children through sports, arts and enterprise, was nominated for the honour by Bingley-based insurance brokers Illingworth McNair.
It came third in the ‘supporting local education and training’ category during a ceremony at King’s Palace in London.
Mr Jacobs said: “We are grateful for the continued support of Illingworth McNair insurance brokers who are helping our charity make a real difference to the lives of children in our community.
“We are also extremely grateful to Aviva for choosing One in a Million out of the 350 entries nationally and for engaging with dozens of worthy causes across the country.”
