Guiding groups in Bradford are getting a boost with the appointment of a new development worker.

Shagufta Sharif will be working with volunteers and supporting local groups which are part of Girlguiding, the leading UK charity for girls and young women. Her work will focus on making guiding accessible to all those who want to be part of it.

She said: “I’ve gained so much from being a guiding leader for ten years. As soon as I saw the development worker vacancy I knew it was the role for me. Girlguiding is an amazing organisation for any girl aged between five and 25 and for adult volunteers the opportunities are endless.”
