Haworth Riding for the Disabled has invested in an electric hoist thanks to two donations.
The hoist, used for the first time this month, will enable riders to be lifted on to their charges.
Donations of nearly £1,000 from the Craven Trust and £1,200 from Oxenhope Straw Race covered most of the cost.
Jackie Butterfield, for the Vale Mill Lane group, said: “This will make a huge difference to us and we are extremely grateful for the donations. Currently we have to lift the riders physically on to their horses and that is sometimes quite difficult. This hoist operates very quietly and makes things a lot easier for the riders and volunteers alike.”
