Keighley couple Alison and John Carter are planning a hearty cycle ride from Land's End to John O'Groats.
Their 1,016-mile sponsored ride through England and Scotland will raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
Alison has been a volunteer at the charity's shop in Keighley's Airedale Shopping Centre for about eight years.
The couple divide their time between their home at Pepper Hills, near Bracken Bank, and their caravan in Settle.
Alison said: "We do lots of cycling. We've done 500 miles in the past in Europe, but nothing as long as this. My husband has always wanted to do Land’s End to John O'Groats. We're both 50 next year so it seemed good to do it before then.”
Alison, who works at HMRC in Shipley, said they had been sponsored by family, friends and workmates.
She added: "We've had a lot of support from the cafes where we regularly call while riding in the Yorkshire Dales."
