VISITS: Year Five pupils from Woodside Academy visited Yorkshire Water at Esholt to learn about water treatment and recycling, while Year Six pupils learnt about chemicals during a visit to the BASF site in Low Moor.
FLOWERS: Friends of Judy Woods are having a wild flower walk on Wednesday. Meet Alice Gingell at the Station Road entrance at 7pm.
CAFE: A new cafe called Fresh Start has opened at Woodside Village Centre. Opening times are Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm, and Saturdays, 7am to 1pm.
DISCO: Friends of Woodside Academy are holding a disco tonight. It’s for pupils up to Year Two from 5pm to 6pm and Years Three to Six from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
FURNITURE: Sandale Centre's second-hand store is open from Monday to Friday, 11.30am to 5pm. Donations are wanted. Ring (01274) 693095.
