Organisers of Keighley's new international short films festival hope to make it an annual event.
Keighley College students are seeking sponsorship from companies to ensure the success of River Aire Ten Minute Amateur Film Festival (RATMAFF).
Businesses can have sections named after them during the RATMAFF. The steering committee of Keighley Town Centre Associationhas alre agreed to support the event. Vehicle maintenance students at the Keighley Campus of Leeds City College are organising the festival as part of their enterprise training.
More than 80 films have been submitted by directors from as far as Germany, America, Japan and India.
Tutor Marcus Gregg said the festival had originally been designed as a one-off event to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer and the British Heart Foundation.
But he said: “It’s brought lots of people together and has taken on a life of its own.”
Each of the genres of films will be screened at Keighley Campus on Saturday, May 25. There are 300 tickets costing from £10. Tickets are sold at ratmaff.weebly.com.
