A Wilsden pub is commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dambusters by turning its frontage into a Lancaster bomber.
Miguel Schrek, who runs the New Inn in Main Street with his family, is renowned for his creative flair having previously transformed the pub frontage into the bow of the Titanic commemorating the 99th anniversary of the luxury liner’s fateful maiden voyage.
Now he has turned his hand to re-creating a Lancaster Bomber emerging from the pub to profile the pub’s 1940s event, including themed music and fancy dress, on Saturday.
Barmaid Zoe Jayne Andrews got into the spirit of a wartime mechanic as the creation was unveiled.
Proceeds from the event are for the RAF Benevolent Fund.
