Authors Lynn Russell and Neil Hanson met up with a 95-year-old former employee of Rowntrees of York when they visited an Ilkley bookshop to promote their new title.
The writers visited The Grove Bookshop, promoting their book, Sweethearts, which sets the stories of five Yorkshire women workers at Rowntree's against the background of the factory in the company’s golden age from the 1930s to the 1980s.
Later they met Madge Burrow, who started work at Rowntrees at the age of fourteen in 1932.
