Volunteers to help recovering addicts are being sought by The Bridge charity.
The charity’s Recovery Volunteer Scheme is due to start training new people next month. The charity is holding an information session on May 22 when applicants can sign up.
Anyone who has recovered from a drug or alcohol problem can apply and, if accepted, receive training which commences on June 4, leading to an Open College Network Award.
Chief executive Jon Royle (above) said: “They will then be able to take up volunteering roles in our treatment services and use their skills and experience to help drug users recover.”
