An electrical engineer came across a suspected cannabis factory while visiting a property in Queensbury.
Between 16 and 20 plants were found in the loft of the property in Chapel Street, on Monday, at 11am.
A man in his 50s was arrested by police officers on suspicion of the cultivation of Cannabis.
Councillor Michael Walls (Con, Queensbury) said he had received phone calls from residents later telling him about the police presence with one person mentioning they had smelt cannabis for some time but did not know where it was coming from.
