Man For All Seasons at Bingley Arts Centre
Bingley Little Theatre’s production of A Man For All Seasons is directed by Sandra Williams and she and the cast delivered a splendid piece of classical theatre drawing on the subtle nuances of humour interspersing within a powerful drama.
Set and costumes are impressive to say the least.
The opening night performance was more like a Friday than a first night. It was very polished all round and difficult to single individuals, but special mention goes to Paul Chewins as ‘Common Man’, Peter Hall as Thomas More and Jonathan Tate as the beguiling, devious Thomas Cromwell.
Such was the commitment to characters and plot, no one batted an eyelid when a lighting accessory hit the stage.
This is good theatre that will appeal to all. Runs till Saturday.
