A service to induct the new Dean of Bradford, the Reverend Canon Jerry Lepine, will take place at Bradford Cathedral in July.
Mr Lepine will also be officially made Vicar of the Parish of Bradford at the event which will be followed by refreshment served at Kala Sangam’s St Peter’s House.
He leaves his job as a priest in Nottingham to take over from the acting Dean, the Reverend Canon Andy Williams.
The Cathedral will have been without a permanent dean for 20 months since Dr David Ison left for St Paul’s in London.
Mr Lepine said: “I see the Cathedral as a welcome space for the community, not just for worship but as a public space.”
The service is on July 14, at 2pm.
