More crime prevention cards have been handed out to motorists using car parks on Otley Chevin.
The Rotary Club of Otley Chevin began handing out the cards last December.
The club came up with the idea of helping drivers with their security following a spate of break-ins to vehicles parked at local beauty spots in 2012.
Volunteers have returned to the Chevin to give out display cards, reminding motorists to remove possessions and lock up, with a reverse notice stating that “all valuables have been removed from this vehicle”.
The Rotary Club of Otley Chevin’s environment officer, Bryan Kitching, said: “We were well received by the public, some of whom related sad stories about car crimes they had suffered.
“We can support the police in preventing car crime as part of our community service project.”
