A local branch of a national organisation for cacti enthusiasts is holding its annual plant show in June.

The Bradford branch of the British Cactus and Succulent Society, which also covers Keighley, is staging the event on Saturday, June 8 at Shipley library.

Wilsden resident Brian Thornton, who is the branch’s treasurer and publicity officer, said: “There will also be cacti-themed artwork produced by local schools, plants for sale which will be suitable to start or develop a collection and advice on aspects of growing and cultivation.”
