A woman has been hospitalised with serious injuries after the car she was driving veered off a 15ft embankment near Huby.
The incident which happened on the A658 road between Harrogate and Pool Bridge involved one vehicle, a silver Seat Altea car, driven by the female.
The collision happened at about 8.40pm yesterday, resulting in the woman being extricated by fire services and taken to hospital by ambulance.
Appliances from Rawdon, Otley and Cookridge attended the scene.
North Yorkshire Police is appealing for anyone who may have seen the car prior to the incident travelling on the A658 to contact PC 268 Martin Muncaster at Thirsk RPG or contact 101 or e-mail martin.muncaster@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.
